Your answers never leave your browser

A tool that asks about your pay, debt and pension should not need to keep them. This one does not.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no BlackMirror accounts.

Are my answers sent to your servers?

No. The test and the score run entirely in your browser. Your answers are never transmitted — not to us, not to an AI service, not to anyone.

Where are they kept?

In your browser’s session storage for the tab you used. They disappear when you close the tab. If you press “Keep on this device” on your result, a copy goes into your browser’s local storage on that device only, until you delete it.

Is my data used for AI?

No. No AI is used to produce your result, and your answers are not used to train or prompt anything.

Is my data sold or shared?

No. We cannot sell or share what we never receive.

What about sharing my score?

The share link and image carry five numbers — your overall and four area scores. No pay, rent, savings, debt, age or county. You choose whether to share.

What does your server see?

When you load a page, our server fetches public county rent and price figures to send to your browser. It never receives your answers. Standard hosting logs record page addresses, which never contain your answers.

Do you use analytics?

Yes — Google Analytics records page views across our sites. It never sees your answers, because they are never put in a page address or sent anywhere.

What if I give my email?

Only if you sign up to the optional newsletter. We store the address to send it, and every email has an unsubscribe link. It is not linked to any test answers — we do not have them.

“Save this result”?

Saves the score and band (not your answers) to your browser’s local storage so you can find it in your saved results on this device.
